Education and Experience
Robert is an independently licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Supervisor (PCC-S) in the State of Ohio and a National Certified Counselor with many years of experience in both clinical counseling and Christian ministry. Robert is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He specializes in treating adolescent boys and men who are contending with sexual addiction, same-sex attraction, and intimacy issues. He also works extensively with married couples surviving the pain and devastation of infidelity.
Robert received his Master of Arts degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary (2001) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Malone College (1997). He anticipates the completion of his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from Ashland Seminary next year as well.
More than anything, Robert is passionate about helping people discover for themselves the gracious heart of God and to experience the awesome embrace of their Abba Father—even in the midst of deep suffering. Having personally survived the painful effects of severe childhood trauma, abandonment, and rejection (and many subsequent years of addiction), Robert will tell you that his own dark night of the soul led him to a profound place of intimacy with his heavenly Father. Robert speaks with the grace and authority of one who knows what it is to carry an orphaned heart.
Robert has been happily married to his beloved bride for over eighteen years and has five awesome children—ranging from tots to teens.
